What are the uses of hypnosis?

Hypnosis can be used to treat a wide variety of issues; what is most important is that each person comes to hypnotherapy with a motivation to make a lasting change in their life. This motivation is one of the most significant factors in attaining results. Something that many people don't realize is that hypnosis in not used only in relation to "problems" but that it can also be used to pump up talents that you already have, such as creativity, sports perfomance or academic achievement.

Hypnosis works well for people of all ages including children. I have been particularly effective in working with teens and their special sets of issues. Teens are quick learners who can have a lifetime of benefits from training in anxiety reducing techniques such as self hypnosis.

Self hypnosis training is a major component of many hypnotherapeutic sessions. There are many benefits to be derived from practicing hypnosis on your own such as helping to reinforce what we learn together in the office. Self hypnosis can also be applied to other areas of your life as you obtain the ability to affect and communicate with your own subconscious.

As a hypnotherapist I realize that each client is a complex individual and that there is no one program which can treat everyone's needs. This is why I make sure to get to know a person and their particular style of communication before beginning treatment. I also use other modalities outside of hypnosis such as EFT, gestalt techniques and dreamwork.
